Licensed Psychologist
Dr. Godsoe is a Maine native and licensed psychologist with special interest in the mind-body connection, especially regarding management of chronic illness and pain. She has experience using cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to treat chronic illness, chronic pain, anxiety disorders, and depression in adolescents and adults. Dr. Godsoe received her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University New England Graduate School. She completed a dissertation study on factors affecting adjustment to chronic pain in adults including positive affect and acceptance. Dr. Godsoe completed her postdoctoral internship in a private practice specializing in psychological assessment of individuals with chronic illness, ADHD, anxiety disorder including PTSD, mood disorders, learning disorders, brain injury, and developmental disorders.
